Acquisition Bolsters Symantec’s Norton Portfolio
California-based Symantec, a global provider of security, storage, and systems management solutions, has acquired Washington, D.C.-based SwapDrive, a market-leading provider of online backup and management software and services. Additionally, SwapDrive’s Backup.com and WhaleMail.com services are also now available from Symantec.
SwapDrive’s offering enables customers to backup, store, and access their business-critical information remotely. This complements Symantec’s suite of Norton products by offering their customers a more comprehensive solution to secure and manage their digital information across all of their devices.
