European Technology M&A Hits All-Time High

IT Week Reports on Second Quarter Acquisitions

IT Week reports that, according to Regent Associates' European Technology Acquisition Review, M&A deal volume is at its peak, beating an earlier high set in Q4 of 2005. Regent also noted that the total value of deals completed in the first half of 2006 versus the same period in 2005 has more than doubled. Significant deals included EMC's acquisition of RSA Security, Secure Computing's acquisition of CipherTrust; and SurfControl's acquistion of BlackSpider.
